Join with friends in our dining room for delicious, restaurant-quality meals. Take part in recreational, educational and social programs. Stop by the chapel for services or quiet reflection.

At Riverview, we’re committed to meeting the physical, social, and emotional needs of our residents through an integrated program of services involving the individual, family members, health care professionals, and our spiritual service team.

Ways of Giving

We are dedicated to serving our residents in the best way possible. This commitment challenges us to raise financial support to enhance our facilities and provide creative new programs and services. Through the generous gifts of our donors, we are blessed and sustained in our commitment.

Annual Giving Opportunities

You can choose how you would like us to use your gift by designating it to a particular fund or towards the greatest need.

Gifts in Honor or Memory of Loved Ones

You can also make a special gift at any time of the year for various occasions. Memorials as well as gifts “In Appreciation for” and “In Honor of” will be recognized in the Book of Remembrances located outside our chapel.

River of Giving Donor Wall

When you give a gift of $1,000 or more, we will honor you by engraving a fish and adding it to our River of Giving Donor Wall. Giving levels are specified by fish color:

Maroon  - $1,000
Blue  - $5,000
Black - $10,000
Bronze - $25,000
Silver - $50,000
Gold - $100,000

Planned Giving

Planned giving allows you to make larger gifts to Riverview. While some planned gifts can provide you with a life-long income, others use estate and tax planning techniques to provide for Riverview and your heirs in ways that maximize the gift and minimize its impact on your estate.

When you include Riverview in your estate plan or will or you name Riverview as a beneficiary of a life insurance or retirement plan, you become a member of the Legacy Society.

Working with your professional advisor, we can help you formulate a plan that takes full advantage of the tax benefits and fulfills your desire to benefit future generations of Riverview residents.

Donate Now

You can donate by mail at:
                    Riverview Place
                    5300 12th St. South
                    Fargo, ND  58104

If you would like additional information about making a gift, please call 701-237-4700.

Legacy Society

As you think about the difference we make in the lives of the people we serve, please consider becoming a member of the Legacy Society. You will join a special group of people who want to ensure that the quality, individually focused care and programming we provide at Riverview Place lives on.

There are many ways to give. Working with your financial or legal advisor, you can decide what’s best for you. Gift options may include cash bequests, gifts of property, gifts of a life insurance, securities, retirement funds, a share of the residue of your estate or the remainder of a trust.

If you’ve made a decision to include us in your planned giving, please contact us so we can include you in our Legacy Society. If you would like more information, please call 701-237-4700.

History

A Legacy of Caring and Services

The Presentation Sisters began Riverview Place in 1987 as a retirement community where seniors could live full, meaningful lives as they continued in the aging process. Their dream was to create an environment that nourished body, mind, and spirit.

In 1996 Catholic Health Initiatives became the sponsoring organization of Riverview. We continue to live the Presentation Sisters' dream through our mission: to nurture the healing ministry of the Church by bringing in new life, energy and viability in the 21st century. Fidelity to the Gospel urges us to emphasize human dignity and social justice as we move toward the creation of healthier communities.

You will also see our core values of Reverence, Integrity, Compassion and Excellence in the way our staff respond to the needs of residents and their families.

Over the years, we've expanded the facilities and services at Riverview. In 1987, there were 148 independent apartments available for people age 55 and older. Today, we've added assisted living options and on-site health services to meet the needs of more than 160 residents.

Although the Presentation Sisters are no longer the chief sponsors of Riverview, they maintain an active presence.
