CHI Living Communities is pleased to announce Prentice O. Lipsey has been named its President and Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2022.

“I am grateful for Prentice’s demonstrated commitment to clinical and operational excellence, his ability to quickly build meaningful partnerships and relationships, and his dynamic yet steady leadership,” notes Marvin O’Quinn, President and Chief Operating Officer of CommonSpirit Health, of which CHI Living Communities is a part. The faith-based senior services division currently is comprised of 16 campuses in eight states, offering residents Independent Living, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, Memory Care and Rehabilitation services.

Prentice’s tenure with CHI Living Communities includes serving as Interim President, Senior Vice President of Operations and Director of Professional Development. Additionally, he was Executive Director of our largest campus—St. Leonard, in the Dayton, OH area.

Along with being part of CHI Living Communities’ ministry for five years, Prentice has nearly 20 years of senior health care leadership experience, including at Wexner Heritage Village, Kindred Gateway Hospital-Stratford and UC Health Daniel Drake Center for Post-Acute Care.

Further, Prentice has been a fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives and a member of the National Association of Health Service Executives for over 20 years, and has been appointed to the American Health Association’s Post-Acute Care Committee. He also has held various servant leadership positions with the Association of Philanthropic Homes for the Aged.

Backed by a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Professions from the Ohio State University and a Master’s in Health Administration from Xavier University, Prentice also earned a post-graduate degree specialization in change management from Cornell University.

In continuing our abiding commitment to the sacred ministry begun decades ago by our Catholic foundresses, Prentice’s focus on excellence and his genuine compassion for seniors will serve our CHI Living Communities’ residents, families and employees well.
