Ja’Nay Crippen-Derry joined CHI Living Communities in June 2021. As Vice President of Clinical Operations, she oversees four clinical support team members to ensure all of our senior living campuses throughout the U.S. meet and maintain CMS 5-Star ratings, with the goal of providing optimal care for each of our residents.
Prior to this role, Ja’Nay was a Quality and Risk Management Consultant for ProMedica Senior Care, a Nurse Consultant at LeaderStat and 360 Healthcare Staffing, and a Divisional Nurse Consultant for CareVirginia. Further, she was Director of Nursing Services for Golden Living, Director of Clinical Services for Consulate Health Care, and also has held several leadership and bedside nursing positions in both acute and long-term care settings.
In addition to more than 10 years of clinical experience, Ja’Nay earned her Doctoral Degree in Health Care Administration in 2020. She also holds a Master’s in Nursing Administration and a Bachelor’s in Nursing – all from Capella University.
Committed to staying up-to-date in specialized areas of health care, Ja’Nay is a CDC-certified Infection Control Preventionist, plus holds a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and a Vohra Wound Certification.
With her home base in Richmond, Virginia, she additionally is an Adjunct Professor, teaching nursing and other health care-related courses at Bryant & Stratton College.
